Parameterize semitrailers for axle load calculation

Enter all necessary data to calculate axle loads for your semitrailers

Get a digital vehicle from your manufacturer

Various vehicle manufacturers already cooperate with HeavyGoods and provide digital vehicles for HeavyGoods. Some of these vehicles have extended functions, e.g. for calculating bending moments, tilting stability and overload limits as well as telescoping with floating tubes, see Get digital vehicles from a manufacturer

Create the vehicle yourself

If you have all the relevant data, you can also create a basic version of your custom vehicle in HeavyGoods yourself.

The first step is to activate the axle load calculation for the semitrailer:

Axle Load Configuration

Then select the axle load compensation of your vehicle:

If your vehicle has a hydraulic axle load compensation, you must also set the number of axle lines in the front support circuit...

...and specify up to five different fifth wheel axle load ratios:

In the next step, you specify the technically permissible limits for fifth wheel load and axle load:

If your vehicle has hydraulic axle load compensation or air suspension, you also have the option of specifying the axle load pressure ratio. This information is optional.

Finally, the empty weight and the center of gravity position of the vehicle is needed:

Telescopic vehicles

For single telescopic vehicles, two centers of gravity must be specified, one for the front part of the vehicle and one for the rear:

(Floating tubes currently cannot be be entered by end users, but only by specific manufacturers).
