Digital vehicles that you receive directly from the manufacturer can have extended functions that are not available for vehicles created by the user.
Depending on the manufacturer, these extended functions also include the calculation of bending moments, tipping stability and overload limits - even for telescopic vehicles with floating tubes. In addition, some manufacturers provide precise outlines for their vehicles in top and side view, which are more realistic than the basic vehicle geometries entered by the user.
That's how you receive digital vehicles from a manufacturer:
Click on: Management - Vehicles - Add vehicle - Have vehicle delivered (see screenshots below)
Click on "Grant approval" for your manufacturer. This makes your company name visible to the manufacturer and allows him to share digital vehicles into your company account at HeavyGoods.
Your manufacturer is not in the list? Click the orange Support button and send us a message!Click on the email address to write an e-mail to the manufacturer. The e-mail needs to contain the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of each vehicle. (To understand, how to create a vehicle combination from individual vehicles in HeavyGoods, have a look at Create a vehicle combination)
The manufacturer agrees the details with you and transfers a digital vehicle to your HeavyGoods account. The vehicle automatically appears in your list of digital vehices. You can use it for planning / simulating transports directly.
